Luxury Kitchen Design Trends

Written by Bokka Admin | July 9, 2014

A gorgeous kitchen sets the tone for a gorgeous home. Whether your style leans towards modern or traditional (or anywhere between), we can help you create a kitchen that is functional, elegant and fully tailored to your personal aesthetic. For inspiration, here are five London Bay Homes custom kitchens that reflect both our level of expertise and the latest kitchen design trends:

Black and White

The sleek pairing of black and white is always trending, especially for kitchens. In the Isabella's kitchen, shown above, interior design firm Romanza Interior Design paired the classic combination with an equally monochromatic speckled tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, and metallic lighting and design accessories to complete the modern, sophisticated look.

Unexpected Details

The kitchen in the Eloro at Lucarno model showcases two trends: an abundance of natural light and unexpected ceiling treatments. Symmetrical sun lights high on the walls above the cabinets let in lots of light without sacrificing storage space, while the aqua ceiling adds a surprising pop of color.

A Clear Vision

Open floor plans have been trending for years, and for good reason. By eliminating unnecessary walls, gorgeous sight lines can be created throughout the home, as demonstrated by the Girona at Mediterra above. Another perk of opening up the kitchen to the main living spaces is better flow throughout, making entertaining — or just enjoying time with family — much easier.

Bold and Beautiful

Bold yellow walls and bright green accents in this custom home at Grey Oaks lend this one-of-a-kind kitchen a lighthearted tone. Plus, by replacing the cabinet doors with leaded glass, painting the back of the cabinets a contrasting color, and adding lighting inside the cabinets, the cabinets themselves become a bright, whimsical focal point, adding to this kitchen's unique character.

Cleverly Concealed

The Brighton at Quail West's kitchen mixes light and dark for a contemporary, sophisticated look and elevates it further by masking the refrigerator — hidden on the wall to the right — behind custom cabinetry. Large appliances, walls of storage and pantry space can be hidden with the use of clever cabinetry that seamlessly blends with the rest of the kitchen.
