Featured Home: Take Luxury to New Heights with the Isabella Two-Story

Written by Gina Watters | December 22, 2015
Southwest Florida real estate has been in full swing for a couple of years, allowing more and more homeowners to become comfortable with the idea of expanding on their floor plans and giving in to their desire for  added luxury.  London Bay Homes has embraced this ideal of “Bigger is Better” with a customized version of one of its popular models.

The Isabella II has been a prime choice for many London Bay Homes clients due to its comfortable design and expansive outdoor living space.  With the increasing popularity of second story homes, we decided to take it to another level, adding even more space and luxury than ever before.  With the new second story, this stunning home will now be equipped with a fourth bedroom, fifth bathroom, and a serene sitting area with a covered balcony for those relaxing nights where a glass of wine and a good book is all you need to unwind after a long day.  The additions will also allow for a larger ground floor to bring the home to 4,265 square feet under air and a total of 6,353 square feet once the Florida-friendly outdoor living space and three-car garage are added.

London Bay Homes is currently building two of these floor plans: one at Mediterra in Naples FL which will be completed in 2016 and one at The Founders Club in Sarasota FL which is available for viewing immediately.  The Founders Club Isabella Two-Story offers a picture-perfect home on a signature double fairway home site with sunset views of the lake and majestic oak trees from the home’s exquisite outdoor living space complete with summer kitchen, resort-style pool, spa, and sun deck.   The Isabella II’s outdoor living space has also been a  unique selling feature of the model, so London Bay Homes maintained the luxury found there and highlighted it with cupola, louvers, decorative Bermuda-style shutters, and rafters found in the model’s West Indies-inspired architecture.

Inside the home, prospective homeowners will revel in the home’s four bedrooms, five bathrooms, media room, covered balcony, study, formal dining room and open great room.  Designed by Jennifer Stevens from Romanza Interior Design, the Isabella Two-Story will capture the seaside elegance of Sarasota with rustic wood flooring; furniture with weathered, driftwood and antique mirror surfaces; and a palette influenced by sea and sunset accent colors.  The coastal design will also be found in the reclaimed and salvaged wood furniture pieces, furnishings with natural motifs of branches and twigs, and an eclectic mix of glass, metallic and rustic finishes.

Rooms in the home will feature signature pieces highlighting the interior design, such as the foyer with its bright navy upholstered bench and a three-tiered, wrought-iron and glass chandelier finished in bronze and mirrors.  The great room features hardwood-framed lounge chairs upholstered in natural canvas, a metal coffee table inset with an antiqued mirror top and a twig-shaped base in a shiny silver finish, and a media console with reeded door panels and a console featuring a mosaic petrified wood top.  These pieces will be complemented by the neutral fabric of the great room’s slip-covered sofa, chair, and ottoman with bright navy and green patterned pillows and an apple green hexagonal garden stool.

The kitchen continues the seaside theme with alabaster-finished maple cabinetry, white granite countertops, and glass tile backsplashes. It will also offer stainless steel appliances and a freestanding island breakfast bar with double sinks, dishwasher, and a trio of counter-height stools upholstered in a diamond-patterned fabric in navy, soft blues and greens against a white background.

In the master bedroom, Stevens opted for a polished stainless steel, four-poster, king-size bed with woven headboard, stone-finished fluted nightstands, and an antique pewter dresser. A sitting area will feature upholstered wing chairs with patterned white and muted apple-green pillows and a shared square antique mirror table.  On your way to the master bathroom, you’ll find his-and-her walk-in closets before arriving to dual vanities, alabaster white cabinetry, white quartz countertops, and a dressing table with a solid oyster fabric swivel barstool with emerald green trim, as well as a frameless shower, a white cast-iron tub set in a bay window, and a private water closet.
