Why We Love Naples FL During Season

Written by Arelys Alexander | November 26, 2020

It’s no secret that our beautiful gulf coast has a seasonal atmosphere, where the summers are filled with children on their summer break and parents getting some much-needed beach time, and the winters are full of smiling faces trying to escape the frigid temperatures and the inconvenient chores their northern winters bring.  Naples seems to come alive in the first months of the year and we’re celebrating our increase in population by sharing our top reasons we love Naples, FL during season.

The Beautiful Weather in Naples Florida

The first few months of the year usually bring a crisp breeze to complement our sunny days and residents and visitors alike take full advantage of the perfect weather to spend the day taking a long walk on the trails or boardwalks of The Naples Preserve, Gordon River Greenway Park, or any other trails without worrying about overheating or getting sunburned (that doesn’t mean you should skip your sunblock!).  We also enjoy digging our feet in the sand while watching the picturesque sunset on our Naples beaches, getting a closer look from the historic Naples Pier, taking up a game of volleyball or frisbee, or even just taking a walk along our shores.  Whatever activity you decide to enjoy, the beautiful clear weather of a Naples winter and spring allow you to feel alive.

More Events and Activities to Enjoy

From arts shows on Fifth Avenue South and concerts in the park at Cambier Park to movie nights at The Mercato and all types of festivals on a number of beautiful sites, the Naples event calendar lights up during season to bring joy and entertainment to all of our residents. The current health crisis hasn't put a stop these activities and events in Naples, FL, but we do go about it a little differently to stay safe and healthy.  If you’re in the area during season, you’ll also get to enjoy a jam-packed show calendar at Artis-Naples, Sugden Theater, or Gulfshore Playhouse (although these theaters host a numbers of shows outside of season as well).  Some of our favorite events include BaconFest, where 100% of all proceeds go directly to help end childhood hunger in SWFL, the Naples Winter Wine Festival, where proceeds go directly to the Naples Children & Education Foundation, and Taste of Collier, which highlights the best local restaurants in Collier County.  These events aren’t even the tip of the iceberg for all of the activities held in Naples during season, so get ready to have some fun during your stay.

The People of Naples, Florida

Our community becomes abuzz with activity during season as our friends from the north find their way back to our paradise.  Neighborhoods fill up and friends get together to catch up and enjoy each others’ company.  Couples from Chicago and Massachusetts may be part-time neighbors in Florida and together with our year-round families, may nurture a friendship that will last a lifetime.  And since every day feels like a vacation when you live in our beautiful city, you’ll see your troubles melt away as you take delight in your surroundings.
