London Bay garners top honors with 11 Sand Dollar Awards

London Bay and its partners recently received 11 Sand Dollar Awards during the annual program presented by the Collier Building Industry Association’s Sales and Marketing Council.

The Sand Dollar Awards are the highest accolades given by the CBIA, honoring the best in building, design and more. London Bay received top honors for sales, product, design and renovation for homes in Southwest Florida.

London Bay kicked off the awards with the distinct top honor for Sales Manager of the Year awarded to Director of Sales, Michael Veliz. The sales momentum that began building at London Bay Homes in the fall of 2020 continued growing at an incredibly strong pace through the first half of 2021 – thanks in large part to Veliz’s leadership, guidance and communication with sales teams and homebuyers.

A grand estate on Gulf Shore Blvd. by London Bay received top honors for Product Design of the Year in the $5 million and above category. The stunning home reflects the design aesthetic developed by its owners working closely with architectural and interior design teams to bring the desired vision to life. The couple chose a homesite in Old Naples that put them in walking and biking distance of downtown Naples and the beach, and assembled a London Bay-led dream team that included MHK Architecture & Planning and London Bay’s design partner, Romanza Interior Design. Spectacular gulf views informed much of the home’s design, including the upstairs lounge and terrace, as well as the office.

Located on Crayton Road within minutes from the Village Shops on Venetian Bay, the Portmore luxury estate by London Bay received top honors for Best Kitchen and Best Master Suite for its stunning interiors by Romanza Interior Design. The luxury estate masterfully blends elements of midcentury modern and contemporary coastal design enhanced with custom details, such as an ingeniously designed walk-through office, pantry and wine room off the kitchen. A gallery hall leads to the home’s private master suite, outfitted with a wide, upholstered panel headboard spanning a king-size platform bed and its rich wood nightstands.

In Mediterra, London Bay received accolades for the 3,836-square-foot Carmela, which capitalizes on its lake and nature preserve views with a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces. Featuring a masterful blend of textures and finishes that elevate the livability of the home, the floor plan offers three bathrooms, three full baths and two half-baths. London Bay was recognized for Product Design of the Year in the $3 million to $4 million category. Romanza Interior Design was honored with Best Kitchen, Best Master Suite and Best Interior Design of the Year for the single-family home.

At Moorings Park Grande Lake, developed in partnership with Moorings Park and London Bay Development Group, the Brook residence was recognized for Interior Design of the Year. Featuring grand golf course and lake views, the 3,905-square-foot residence boasts three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, and stunning contemporary abstract art that foreshadows the taupes, sapphire blues and metallic finishes woven throughout the home.

London Bay Renovation also received top honors for Space Renovation for a private condominium residence in Bella Baia on Gulf Shore Blvd. N. The design team breathed new life into the space with an approach that is contemporary, yet timeless. Working alongside the renovation team, the design teams transformed the 16-year-old Mediterranean-style residence into a light-filled, coastal contemporary Naples retreat.

Capping off the successful award season, Mediterra was honored for the 13th year as the top Community of the Year. London Bay manages sales and operation at Mediterra, where a select offering of new home opportunities and prime homesites are available.
