MIROMAR LAKES, Fla. (May 8, 2015) – London Bay Homes sold four new single-family villa homes totaling $6.1 million in 45 days in the Portofino neighborhood at Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club. The sales included two models and two new-construction homes.

London Bay is the exclusive builder in Portofino, a neighborhood of only 20 maintenance-free luxury villas surrounded by 700 acres of contiguous freshwater lakes in the award-winning Miromar Lakes community.

The recent sales account for 20 percent of Portofino’s total homes and limits availability for buyers to enjoy the neighborhood’s carefree lifestyle, where landscaping and pool maintenance are provided.

“We noticed a distinct trend with these sales,” said Mark Wilson, president and CEO of London Bay Homes. “Our homebuyers had already made the decision to move from condominiums to new luxury homes. In Portofino, these buyers were able to maintain the maintenance-free lifestyle of a condo while gaining the additional space of a single-family villa.”

The model sales included the Emilia for $1,768,000 and the Benita, which sold prior to its completion date for $1,407,000. The Emilia features interior design by Romanza Interior Design.

London Bay also sold a second Benita for $1,550,000 and its Adalia plan for $1,411,886 to custom-build clients. Those buyers will have the opportunity to personalize their home with options to add outdoor fireplaces and summer kitchens, expanded alfresco living areas and garages, and a private boat dock in the backyard.

Home and homesite packages at Portofino are priced from $1.3 million.

London Bay Homes offers nine luxury villa designs featuring two and three bedrooms and 2,500 to nearly 4,200 square feet of living space in Portofino, a lakefront neighborhood reminiscent of an Italian village with its cobblestone streets and plazas.

Portofino’s maintenance-free lifestyle provides residents with more time to enjoy the amenities of Miromar Lakes, including swimming, boating, water-skiing and fishing along the lakes; three miles of private white-sand beaches; championship golf; and fine and casual dining. Miromar Lakes also offers a spa and fitness center, seven-court tennis club and The Golf Club, featuring the private 18-hole Arthur Hills-designed course and 15-acre practice facility.

Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club is the only Florida community to receive the National Association of Home Builders’ Gold Award for No. 1 Community in the U.S. and No. 1 Clubhouse.

London Bay Homes, a leader in the Southwest Florida luxury home market for 25 years, earned a 2013 Silver Award for Best Architectural Design of a One-of-a-Kind Home during The Nationals, sponsored by the NAHB. Romanza, its affiliate, earned a Gold Award for Best Interior Design of a Custom Home in the same competition.

All London Bay Homes are built using the latest information, products and technology available in building science, including the BEP Blue Barrier moisture barrier system that protects against mold issues and structural damage from moisture intrusion.

London Bay was one of only two companies named America’s Best Builder by Builder Magazine in 2008. The company builds custom and semi-custom homes from Marco Island to Sarasota priced from the $800,000s to more than $10 million in many of the region’s most exclusive neighborhoods and communities.
