SARASOTA, Fla. (Jan. 4, 2016) – London Bay Homes is redefining luxury living on Sarasota’s famous island keys and downtown with eight new models in various stages of development in the city’s most exclusive communities and neighborhoods.

Each luxury model is designed to capture a true sense of place, featuring West Indies and Contemporary Coastal architecture, hints of tropical ports-of-call, and the award-winning designs of Romanza Interior Design.

The models represent rare homebuying opportunities west of Tamiami Trail and enhance the exclusive lifestyles of Siesta Key, Bird Key and Oleander Street in Sarasota’s historic South Poinsettia neighborhood, the latter a quick stroll to the city’s vibrant arts and restaurant scene.

London Bay has acquired multiple homesites in Sarasota’s most coveted addresses. The homebuilder projects more than $30 million in sales on the keys and in the downtown area.

“We’ve focused on buying homesites in these areas because they provide the ultimate tropical lifestyle and location where people want to live,” said John Gleeson, vice president of London Bay Homes. “When people think about Sarasota, they envision living near the water with quick access to Main Street, St. Armands Circle, and the white sand beaches ranked among the best in the world.

“There’s a shortage of new luxury homes, and London Bay Homes is introducing more than $25 million of new custom homes to fulfill the demand,” said Brian Pruett, who represents London Bay’s downtown and keys portfolio.

London Bay created the Sarasota Keys Collection of estate floor plans to maximize water views and provide a connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Four models are planned for the remaining homesites in Spice Bay, an intimate, gated West Indies-style community of just 14 homes nestled along Sarasota Bay and the southern portion of Siesta Key.

The eight-acre community offers a private dock along the Intracoastal Waterway and a tropical setting within live oaks and mature palms.

Construction has begun on the two-story Somerset, a 4,500-square-foot estate overlooking Spice Bay’s gardens. The four-bedroom model is designed for entertaining, offering a formal dining room, walk-in butler’s pantry and wine room. It also will have a study, great room and a second-floor loft with a family room and wet bar, and large outdoor living areas offering a summer kitchen, fireplace and custom pool and spa.

Main indoor and outdoor living areas and the master suite of the 5,010-square-foot Mandeville estate, also under construction in Spice Bay, will provide panoramic waterfront views of Sarasota Bay. The four-bedroom home will offer a study, dining room, walk-in butler’s pantry, wine room, and a second floor featuring a game room, wet bar, three private suites, and balconies and terraces showcasing the infinity-edge pool and water views.

The builder is planning three additional luxury models in Spice Bay.

London Bay also owns two exclusive properties along Siesta Key’s bayfront and beachfront settings.

Just north of Spice Bay on Sarasota Bay, London Bay is planning a two-story, four-bedroom estate model with a boat dock on Sea Plume Way: The Celadon.

London Bay’s planned three-story Solymar beachfront custom estate will be located on a private gated street overlooking Big Pass near the northern tip of Siesta Key. The four-bedroom, fully furnished model will encompass more than 5,800 square feet, a guest casita, an oversized master suite, two outdoor kitchens, and a five-car garage.

The canal-front Cedarberry model on Bird Key, located between downtown and St. Armands Circle, will offer a new dock and prime deep-water access to the Gulf, and accommodate yachts up to 70 feet, said Pruett. The planned model will have four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths and large outdoor living spaces. The home’s location on the John Ringling Causeway is just over a half-mile from downtown, providing walkability to the restaurants and boutiques at St. Armands Circle as well as Lido Key beaches.

“Bird Key is five minutes to downtown, Lido Key, St. Armands and the Gulf,” said Pruett.

London Bay’s two-story Camberdale model estate on Oleander Street is located in an established neighborhood, just minutes from Zagat-rated restaurants, locally owned boutiques and performing arts venues. The four-bedroom custom model will offer an exclusive option for a downtown lifestyle west of Tamiami Trail in a single-family home.

Construction of the Camberdale model is expected to begin in early 2016, Pruett said. “This model has such a great location and offers a very rare opportunity for new construction within Sarasota’s historic district,” he said.

East of Interstate-75, London Bay Homes is also building luxury homes in The Founders Club, Sarasota’s premier private golf and social club community. The 700-acre community is planned for only 262 single-family homes on large homesites overlooking nature preserves, lakes and fairways along the golf course. London Bay Homes offers a selection of single-family detached villa homes, Reserve Collection homes and one-of-a-kind estates ranging from 2,500 to more than 6,000 square feet of living space. Home and homesite packages are priced from the $900,000s to more than $5 million.

Nearby in Lakewood Ranch, London Bay Homes offers one-of-a-kind custom dream homes in The Lake Club and luxurious maintenance-free villas in the exclusive Matera neighborhood.

In addition to building one-of-a-kind custom homes in The Lake Club’s gated enclave of Anchorage Place, London Bay offers a variety of home designs with 2,800 to over 5,000 square feet of living space and multiple options that allow buyers to customize their home.

As a builder in Matera, London Bay offers nine luxury maintenance-free villa plans for its private cul-de-sac homesites, with lake, nature preserve and private views. Lakefront home and homesites in The Lake Club start in the $800s to over $2 million.

London Bay Homes, a leader in the Southwest Florida luxury home market for 25 years, was one of only two companies named America’s Best Builder by Builder magazine in 2008. The company builds luxury homes priced from $1 million to more than $10 million in many of the region’s most exclusive neighborhoods and communities. The company also builds private residences on individual homesites in Old Naples, the Sarasota Keys and along the Gulf of Mexico.
