NAPLES, Fla. (Oct. 5, 2015) – London Bay Homes captured three awards, including Interior Design of the Year for the popular Girona model during the Collier Building Industry Association’s 2015 Sand Dollar Awards. The company also earned awards for the Capriano, capturing Product Design of the Year and Best Pool Design.

The open floor plan of the Girona, a maintenance-free luxury villa in Cortile, connects indoor and outdoor spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living and dining spaces and arched openings in the alfresco area framing views of the home’s pool, raised spa and nature preserves. Featuring award-winning interiors by Romanza Interior Design, the three-bedroom home also offers formal dining room, study, breakfast nook and open great room accented with modern design aesthetics: gray and ivory colors accented with papaya, box-beamed and tongue-and-groove ceilings, and white- and wood-toned furniture finishes mixed with glass, metallic, caned and woven surfaces.

The current model is the sixth rendition of the Girona floor plan and sold on leaseback through December 2015; five previous models sold before or shortly after completion since the original was introduced in 2012.

The Capriano model is located in the Lucarno neighborhood at Mediterra. The home’s architecture is heightened by its sun-washed façade contrasted by lush foliage, Cascade blue garage doors and window casings and arches revealing a second-story balcony.

The 4,402-square-foot villa’s open floor plan also features an expanded great room, dining area and kitchen with sliding glass doors that open to an alfresco living room.

Designed for outdoor living, the Capriano offers open-air, under-roof seating and dining areas. Intimate seating in the outdoor living space offers views of the lake and Italian gardens unobstructed by curving arches framing the home’s pool and landscape.

The infinity-edge pool designed by Acquatico is flanked by an outdoor fireplace, tan chaises and parakeet green ceramic tables and urns. The classic rectangular design of the pool and raised spa is complemented by a cool grey oversized concrete sun deck. The spa gives the illusion of floating in the pool with its infinity edge splashing water on all sides. A second-floor private balcony and sundeck overlooks the pool. French doors in the hallway leading to the master bedroom open up to the pool deck.
