NAPLES, Fla. (Jan. 21, 2014) – London Bay Homes’ Southampton model, a single-family home located just blocks from Naples’ renowned Fifth Avenue South, is nearing completion.
The Southampton, a two-story, three-bedroom single-family home located at 651 Seventh St. N., is priced at $2,625,000, featuring a harmonious blend of West Indies-inspired exterior architecture and elegant, comfortable coastal interior design by the award-winning team of London Bay Homes and Romanza Interior Design.
Offering a move-in ready opportunity for buyers interested in a walkable urban environment close to Fifth Avenue’s restaurants and boutiques, the Southampton is also a short walk or bike to the beach.
The model home offers 3,551 square feet of air-conditioned living space, featuring a first-floor master suite, study and casually decorated dining area, with a loft and two en suite guest rooms on the second floor. The home has three full baths and a ground-floor powder bath.
The Southampton’s open floor plan centers around a large living room that flows into adjoining spaces, including the kitchen and breakfast nook and outside to a covered living area overlooking a pool and spa.
The Southampton offers sliding glass doors from the living room and nook to the outdoor area, plus private access to the pool deck from the master bedroom. The alfresco space has a summer kitchen, dining table and sitting area, and electric roll-down screen. Four chaises and a trio of turquoise-glazed garden stools used as tables lend a resort ambiance to the backyard.
French oak wood flooring throughout the first floor’s 2,552 square feet contrasts with white and neutral upholstered furniture in weathered gray, antiqued white, driftwood, distressed and mixed wood tones. The interior design by Romanza’s Jennifer Stevens combines texture, playful shapes and natural elements and features pops of turquoise, blue-greens, grays and chartreuse in accent furnishings, pillows and fabrics, first introduced in the living room.
Wood tones intermingle with mixed metals – stainless steel, polished nickel and gun metal – and textures including the living room’s wool and sisal area rug and raffia and linen headboard in the master bedroom.
Unique pieces selected by Stevens include a turquoise stone and antique mirror sphere-shaped chandelier in the living room, an eight-light white beaded chandelier, and a rustic dining room table with a sandy finish and oyster white glaze circled by eight chairs: two hostess/host chairs with white linen slip-covers and six weathered white rattan chairs with linen upholstered backs and seats.
The Southampton’s kitchen features white cabinetry and a mosaic backsplash glass tile wall with sea glass hues hinting at the underlying palette. It provides an oversized, free-standing island with double sink, dishwasher and a breakfast bar illuminated by beehive-shaped polished nickel and glass pendants and stools upholstered in zigzag striped fabric with tones of gray-blue, teal and chartreuse.
The kitchen also has an adjoining walk-in pantry and home office, its built-in desk lit by a sea-blue Mercury glass lamp. The chartreuse reappears in the fabric cushions of the nook’s four chairs.
The study features a tongue-and-groove pyramid ceiling, an architect-style desk with a gray-cerused oak top and polished steel legs, and a sitting area with green-blue plaid linen lounge chairs, an ottoman, antique metal end table and a large screen TV side wall with a lightly distressed driftwood finish.
The master suite has generously sized his-and-her walk-in closets and a bathroom with a free-standing tub, separate shower and a dual-sink vanity. Interior finishes include iridescent accent tiles, brushed-steel sconces with opal etched glass and a drum-shaped brushed nickel chandelier.
The Southampton’s nearly 1,000-square-foot second floor includes a large loft and two bedrooms, each with a walk-in closet and private full bath. The loft offers a sitting area with upholstered lounge chairs and a media center.
One of the bedrooms offers a king-sized bed with all-white furnishings, sandy walls and a green accent chair. The second has an upholstered headboard with a subtle animal print and gray-ceruse finished nightstands.
The model provides additional references to nature and texture in designer finds that include shell accent lamps arranged in feather and flower patterns, a tortoise shell lamp base and natural woven al fresco dining room and sitting area chairs with patterned and solid fabrics in turquoise and green.
In keeping with its architectural inspirations, the Southampton has large windows and transoms to provide natural lighting and capture coastal breeze, Bahama-style exterior shutters on the garage, and wood-clad exterior accent walls.
The Southampton offers 4,650 total square feet, including its outdoor living area, two car garage and entry.
