NAPLES, Fla. (March 4, 2014) – The recent purchase of the largest homesite ever offered at Mediterra leaves only one oversized homesite in the coveted Il Cuore neighborhood at Mediterra, Naples’ premier golf and beach club community that is 90 percent sold.

The 1.51-acre homesite in Il Cuore, Mediterra’s most exclusive neighborhood, is surrounded by more than 50 acres of nature preserves and is significantly larger than any single-family site currently available in Mediterra, the eight-time winner for Community of the Year.

Il Cuore, located in the heart of Mediterra’s 1,700 acres, was introduced in December by London Bay Homes as a two-home gated neighborhood with its own homeowners association.

“Homebuyers would be hard-pressed to find homesites this large in any gated community,” said Mark Wilson, president of London Bay Homes, a leader in the Naples luxury home market for more than two decades. “Il Cuore offers a rare opportunity to create a custom dream home in the area’s top luxury community. The homes are surrounded by expansive nature preserves, offering the ultimate in both beauty and privacy.”

Il Cuore’s single-family estate homesites can easily accommodate more than 8,000 square feet of living space with nearly infinite possibilities, including multiple pools and water features, gardens and lawns, private guesthouses and pavilions.

“We look forward to really pushing the boundaries of creativity and customization for our homeowners in Il Cuore,” Wilson said.

Il Cuore is one of only four neighborhoods in Mediterra with available single-family estate homesites. The community’s remaining inventory includes a total of 24 single-family homesites.

London Bay Homes also offers maintenance-free luxury villa homes at Mediterra, recipient of the 2013 Aurora Award winner for best residential development within the Southeastern U.S.

Villa and single-family homes at Mediterra are priced from the $800,000s to more than $7 million.

A 2013 Aurora Award winner for best residential development within the Southeastern U.S., Mediterra has been ranked among the top five percent of private clubs in the world by receiving the distinguished Emerald Club award and was recently named among America’s Top 10 Healthiest Clubs.

Mediterra offers an array of lifestyle amenities, including the member-owned Club at Mediterra with two Tom Fazio-designed championship courses and the private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico, featuring an elevated swimming pool, casual dining with a full bar, and valet service for beach chairs, umbrellas, and food and beverage menus.

Mediterra’s onsite amenities include themed neighborhood parks; eight miles of walking and jogging trails; a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts, a pool and spa services; and the 33,000-square-foot clubhouse offering formal and casual dining prepared by a staff of award-winning culinary experts.

Recent renovations expanded space in the Grille Room at The Club at Mediterra and added a terrace with outdoor seating around a fire pit at the Tavern lounge, which serves gourmet brick-oven pizzas, seasonal salads and open-air grilled entrées.

Mediterra’s Golf Learning Center offers indoor and outdoor hitting stations, video equipment with launch monitor, a 2.5-acre short game practice complex with three greens, and a staff of certified PGA professionals. Membership opportunities at Mediterra are limited to just 225 members per 18 holes.

All of the community’s amenities are membership-owned.

Mediterra’s master plan includes more than 1,000 acres dedicated to open space with golf, parks and nature preserves.

Since December 2009, London Bay Homes, named America’s Best Builder by Builder Magazine in 2008, and affiliates have managed all new home sales and marketing for the luxury community. Resale properties are listed through Mediterra Realty.
