(November 15, 2012) Romanza Interior Design will lend its award-winning talents to the new Emilia model in Portofino, a neighborhood in Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club featuring 20 lakefront luxury villas built exclusively by London Bay Homes. The three-bedroom model will offer a private dock and southwest sunset views over Lake Maggiore.
The Naples design firm will enhance the Emilia’s 3,380 square feet of living space with a transitional design featuring clean-lined upholstery, simplified traditional furniture shapes and a palette of clear neutrals with bright turquoise, orange and deep chocolate browns.
The Emilia offers a study, three full bathrooms, a powder room and 4,681 total square feet, including a three-car garage and covered lanai. The home will also feature a custom pool and spa, a summer kitchen, built-in surround sound system and Anderson storm-rated windows and doors.
The great room design of the floor plan creates a main gathering space with living and dining areas that connect to the kitchen through an archway and to the covered lanai through sliding glass doors. Stevens will accent the room’s ceiling with wide beams and a trio of unique chandeliers.
The kitchen will feature on-trend classic white cabinetry with bead-board accented base cabinets and a large center island offering counter-height seating for casual dining, Stevens said. The island’s black galaxy granite countertop will contrast the lighter Juperana millennium granite of the main countertops and the range backsplash. Upper cabinetry will flank a dramatic range hood, and transom windows, also used in the great room, will provide natural light.
A private hallway linking the master suite’s oversized walk-in closet, bedroom and bath will provide access to the home’s swimming pool and sun deck. The bathroom’s his-and-her free-standing vanities will have sinks floating in niches against fully tiled backsplashes with large mirrors, Stevens said. The room will have a free-standing dressing table. The tub, which overlooks a privacy garden from a bay window, will have glass and stone mosaic tile and tub skirt. A complimentary material will also be used in the shower.
The Emilia is expected to be completed in January 2013 and is priced at $1.795 million fully furnished.
