NAPLES, Fla. (Nov. 20, 2013) – London Bay Homes’ newest Girona model home at Mediterra will feature interiors by award-winning designer Michael Scott of Romanza Interior Design.
The three-bedroom, three-and-one-half bath maintenance-free luxury villa will be the third Girona model designed by Scott and the fourth built by London Bay Homes at Mediterra. The open great room floor plan and the models have proven popular with buyers eager to immediately enjoy the coveted lifestyle of Naples’ premier golf and beach club community. All three Scott-designed Girona models have sold, including one purchased before construction was completed.
The newest Girona, which received the Collier Building Industry Association’s Overall Excellence in Design Award during the 2012 Parade of Homes, is being built in the Cortile neighborhood and will overlook a nature preserve.
The home will feature wide-plank French oak hardwood flooring with a light brushed oil finish, complemented by sand dune and sea salt colored walls.
“The model will carry a light but warm feeling throughout its 3,526 square feet,” said Scott. “In addition to the warmth of the hardwood floors, the model will have modern, comfortable, neutral upholstery, light and airy woven window treatments and soft wool area rugs.”
Cream and celadon accessories mingle with iron lighting fixtures that pop against the neutral fabrics with sand- and sea-hued backgrounds, Scott said.
The model will feature a dining room with seating for six, a study and large outdoor living and dining room areas, with more seating available around the nook. It will also have a private courtyard with a water feature and a pool, spa and an ivory travertine paver pool deck.
Twelve-foot ceilings in the main living areas and 10-foot sliding glass walls in the great room and breakfast nook will enhance the openness of the Girona. The outdoor area will offer dining and lounging areas and a fully equipped summer kitchen.
The kitchen will have light wood cabinetry, a handmade ceramic tile backsplash and Wolf and Sub-Zero stainless steel appliances. The home will also showcase signature features of London Bay’s floor plans: a large kitchen island with a breakfast bar and an adjoining office with a built-in desk and a walk-in pantry.
The wood flooring will continue into the master bedroom, which will have a 12-foot ceiling and 10-foot sliding glass doors opening to the pool deck. The master suite will also offer his and her closets with custom closet systems, and a spacious bathroom with a brushed limestone floor, full-height shower, separate his-and-her vanities with granite countertops and a free-standing tub.
The Girona’s two bedrooms each have private baths; one will also offer a walk-in closet.
The Girona floor plan has been designed with optional features that show buyers how they can customize their home by adding a butler’s pantry, third car bay and expanding outdoor living and kitchen areas. The model will be shown with a three-car garage and will have more than 5,000 total square feet.
Priced at $2,095,000, fully furnished, the Girona is expected to open for viewing in December.
The Girona is one of a dozen villa and estate floor plans offered by London Bay Homes in the Cortile neighborhood. The maintenance-free homes include landscaping and lawn care through the homeowners association.
Home and homesite packages in Cortile are priced from $1.2 million. Villa and estate floor plans range from 3,000 to more than 10,000 square feet of living space. The Cortile neighborhood is 60 percent sold, with only five villa homesites remaining.
