NAPLES, Fla. (Sep. 3, 2013) – London Bay Homes has started construction on the newest Girona villa model home at Mediterra, Naples’ premier golf and beach club community rated among the top communities in the Southeastern U.S. and recently named the 2013 Aurora Award recipient for best residential development.
The Girona, a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath maintenance-free luxury villa offering a great room, study and dining room, has proven popular since its introduction: London Bay Homes sold all three of its previous Girona models – one prior to completion.
The floor plan, which emphasizes openness between main gathering areas and offers an entry courtyard and large outdoor living area, received the Collier Building Industry Association’s Overall Excellence in Design Award during the 2012 Parade of Homes.
The newest rendition will feature interior design by award-winning Romanza Interior Design and overlook a nature preserve in Cortile, a neighborhood of 46 estate and villa homesites. The model, priced at $2,095,000, fully furnished, is expected to open for viewing in December.
“The openness of the Girona and its connection to outdoor spaces really resonates with buyers because it captures the essence of the Florida lifestyle,” said Mark Wilson, president of London Bay Homes, which oversees sales and marketing at the 1,700-acre gated master-planned community. “There’s a feeling of lightness and freedom of movement the moment you step through the front door. The spaces work well for large as well as intimate gatherings, and the guest rooms and master suite enjoy an immense sense of privacy that’s important to our homebuyers.”
The Girona’s spaciousness is enhanced by 12-foot ceilings in the main living areas and 10-foot sliding glass walls in the great room and breakfast nook, leading to the pool deck and living area equipped with a full summer kitchen.
The floor plan offers 3,526 square feet of living space and has been designed with optional features to show buyers how they can customize their home by adding a butler’s pantry or third car bay, and expanding outdoor living and kitchen areas. The Girona’s 4,804 total square feet can be enlarged to 5,800 with selected options.
The model will be built with a three-car garage and will feature a fountain in its entry courtyard. The kitchen will have an oversized center island with sink, dishwasher and breakfast bar, state-of-the-art luxury appliances and an adjoining office with walk-in pantry.
The master suite will offer a bedroom with 12-foot ceilings, his and her closets with custom closet installations, and a bathroom with separate tub and shower and his and her vanities.
The Girona’s two en suite bedrooms have private baths; one will also offer a walk-in closet.
The Girona is one of a dozen villa and estate floor plans offered by London Bay Homes in the Cortile neighborhood. The maintenance-free homes include landscaping and lawn care through the homeowners association.
Home and homesite packages in Cortile are priced from $1.2 million. Villa and estate floor plans range from 2,800 to more than 6,000 square feet of living space. The Cortile neighborhood is 60 percent sold, with only eight villa homesites remaining.
London Bay Homes, a leader in the Naples luxury home market for more than two decades, was one of only two companies named America’s Best Builder by Builder Magazine in 2008.
