London Bay Homes has completed construction of a luxury private custom home in the exclusive Bird Key island in Sarasota. The stunning estate leverages its ideal location near the water with a coastal contemporary design.
The couple desired an island location in close proximity to both dining and shopping hub St. Armands Circle and the water surrounding the Sarasota area. Their home also needed to easily accommodate their grown children. The spot they found on Bird Key proved the perfect location where they could work with London Bay to build their dream home.
The couple was drawn to London Bay’s quality of homes and construction knowledge of building homes along the coastline. They were also motivated by the opportunity to customize one of London Bay’s existing floor plans to meet their family’s needs, in a location they had long desired. The estate is a reimagined version of the popular Pembrook design plan, which includes a sun deck off the master suite, expanded outdoor features and a welcoming larger front porch. Working with London Bay’s design team, they were able to expand the footprint of the bedrooms and add a study and a pool bath for visiting guests.
An open floor plan provides for an easy flow between the great room, dining room and kitchen, where a large island provides ample space for gourmet dinner preparations for guests or intimate evening meals. A coffee bar with undercounter refrigerator and adjoining walk-in pantry add to the kitchen space. The great room flows out to an expansive outdoor living area, with an outdoor kitchen, fire table and elegant custom pool with a raised spa.
The outdoor area can also be accessed from the master suite, which features two walk-in closets and a master bath with dual vanities, center shower and soaking tub. Two guest bedrooms on the other side of the home with nearby bathrooms offer desired space for visiting friends and family.
The couple worked extensively with the London Bay team to take full advantage of smart home technology in their new residence.
