London Bay Homes’ Acquatico Pools has been honored with five Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards by the Florida Swimming Pool Association for the 2018 Design Awards.

The FSPA Design Awards program recognizes the top designs in pools, spas and water features. London Bay Homes’ Acquatico Pools & Outdoor Living was recognized for their workmanship, soundness of design, beauty, practicality and safety.

London Bay’s Claremont model received Gold Award recognition in the residential category for a pool ranging 701 square feet and over. Situated in Old Naples just a block from the Gulf of Mexico, the Claremont spa is balanced by a shallow sun shelf and wide in-pool steps that serve as entry into the home’s tropical oasis. An expertly illuminated water wall feature shares an ocean blue glass tile finish with a raised spa that appears to float atop the water’s surface.

An extended light-washed wood pergola mirrors the pool’s clean lines, while its architectural linearity sets the stage for a built-in fire pit conversation area connected to the pool by five soothing streams pouring onto the surface through custom scuppers.

The home is representative of London Bay’s Naples Collection of statement-making homes on prime homesites from Park Shore to Port Royal and close to the quaint Third Street South and Fifth Avenue dining, shopping and art district.

Located in the Portofino neighborhood at Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, the Cilento was honored with a Silver Award in the residential category for a pool ranging from 250 to 500 square feet.

The home’s old world-style culminates in a focal point pool with a Mediterranean influence. Its sightline continues straight to the adjoining 700-acre freshwater lake, creating a seamlessly serene vista. Architectural interest is added with a weathered bronze-painted pergola incorporated into a wall atop the pool adorned with lushly planted built-in bowls. The space also features a sand set travertine pool deck, which is configured with a fire pit conversation area overlooking the lake.

Silver and Bronze titles were awarded to three additional model homes by London Bay Homes in Mediterra, an 11-time winner of Collier Building Industry Association’s Community of the Year award. The homes are located within the Cabreo and Cortile neighborhoods in Mediterra and showcase coastal-influenced exterior architectural styles and extended outdoor spaces featuring outdoor kitchens, dining and sitting areas and resort-style pools.

Located in Cabreo overlooking a lake and Mediterra’s Parterre Garden – the community’s largest neighborhood park with formal gardens – the Bettina received the Silver Award for a residential pool ranging from 250 to 500 square feet. The pool takes a page from the home’s transitional contemporary aesthetic and translates it into a dramatic play of fire and water against a backdrop of swaying palm trees. The pool’s Tropics Blue Stonescapes finish is accented with decorative lighting that enhances its perfect symmetry. The cascade of the spa’s seven fluted spillways reaches the built-in shelf surround that offers easy access from pool to spa, while its integrated linear stone shell fire feature is flanked by lush planters.

Receiving the Bronze Award for a residential pool ranging from 501 to 700 square feet, the Catalina features a custom-designed linear pool with sun shelf. A raised spa with spillway is finished in Silver Splash Pebble by Infinite Pools, creating the impression of pure turquoise blue water. At night, multicolored light streams peek through the water creating a rainbow effect.

In the Cortile neighborhood at Mediterra, the Capriano received the Silver Award for a pool ranging from 501 to 700 square feet. The home overlooks a nature preserve and features a striking custom-designed rectilinear pool and spa with an expansive sun shelf for relaxing beneath a classic palm in the built-in planter. A stately wall with lavishly planted twin bowls frames the pool’s cascading, “roll topped” waterfall fountain and spa – both finished in glass mosaic tile in shades of royal blue and sand that evoke Gulf of Mexico beaches.

The award-winning pools and homes are part of London Bay’s collection of custom, fully furnished and available designs in sought-after communities throughout Southwest Florida, including Mediterra, Estuary at Grey Oaks, Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club and Old Naples.

The Florida Swimming Pool Association serves as the coordinating organization for 16 local FSPA chapters, with more than 670 members statewide. FSPA provides government relations representation on behalf of its members to the Florida Building Commission and the Construction Industry Licensing Board as well as other legislative bodies that regulate the swimming pool industry in Florida such as the Department of Health.
