It’s that time of the year again, when luxury home communities open their gates and custom homebuilders invite guests into their model homes to experience the luxury found in Southwest Florida real estate. London Bay Homes will be participating in four Parade of Homes events this season (see dates below) and thought it would be beneficial to share some time- and energy-saving tips for attendees.
1. Wear Comfortable Shoes
Lots of models homes = Lots of walking. Make sure you keep those feet in tip top shape by wearing comfortable shoes that you can see yourself wearing all day.
2. Wear Cool Clothing, But Bring a Sweater
Southwest Florida has been experiencing some cool weather these past few weeks, but that doesn’t mean that the Florida sunshine won’t be ready to break through at any given moment. Be prepared by wearing cool clothing, but remember to bring a sweater just in case the model homes end up being a little cooler. It is also always a good idea to bring an umbrella.
3. Grab a Map
You’ll want to know where the model homes are located so that you can plan your trip accordingly. Maps of the model homes located in London Bay Homes communities can be found at the guard gate for each of the communities. Grab a map, plot your course, and see the luxury!
4. Bring Supplies
No, you won’t need to pack a lunch or a backpack full of school supplies, but it is a good idea to bring some water and a pad and pen to jot down some notes, as well as a bag to store any model home brochures of interest.
5. Ask Lots of Questions
Each model home will have a sales executive or representative available to answer any and all questions you may have about the home. This is your time to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge available during these events. Ask about the developer/builder, the community, the design, unique features of the home, green building techniques, and any other questions you may have about the community, the home, and the team behind it.
6. Enter All of the Prize Drawings
Not only do you get a chance to see all of the luxury model homes available, but you also get the opportunity to win some fabulous prizes in the process. For example, London Bay Homes will be giving away an iPad during the Parade of Homes. All you have to do is register and your name will be included in the drawing to win an iPad.

Parade: Every Thursday through Sunday starting February 13, 2014 and ending on March 2, 2014.

Note: Mediterra model homes will only be available for viewing on Saturdays (10am-5pm) and Sundays (12pm-5pm).
Manatee-Sarasota HBA Parade of Homes
Parade: Begins February 22, 2014 and ends on March 9, 2014.
Model Homes: The Avena and Emilia at The Lake Club in Lakewood Ranch and the Delfina, Isabella, and Laurel at The Founders Club.
Note: Model homes will be available for viewing from 10am-5pm on Monday-Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sundays.
Collier Building Industry Association Parade of Homes
Parade: Every Saturday (10am-5pm) and Sunday (12pm-5pm) starting March 7, 2014 and ending on March 16, 2014.
