Spring is the time for new beginnings when flowers start to bloom, the chill in the air melts away, and colors seem to look brighter when hit by the sun’s beautiful rays. Take this opportunity to have the interior of your luxury custom home match the beauty of the nature found outside with these spring interior design tips from the professionals at Romanza Interior Design.
Let’s Brighten Up the Place
Gold is a fun interior design trend that seems to be taking off in Southwest Florida. This trend has a lot of flexibility so you can decide how much, or how little, you would like to incorporate in your home design. Match a little bit of gold with warm colors, like a beautiful burnt orange, to create a cozy setting or set your gold features against a bright white palette and darker woods for a more contemporary yet inviting look, like the one found in our Brighton model home in Quail West in Naples. The Brighton uses gold to provide a luxuriously warm environment with darker woods and neutral browns and tans set against white backgrounds with many gold accents throughout the space.
Hit the Beach with a Cleaner Coastal
When people think of Florida, they think of bright sunshine, warm beaches, and soft sand, so it’s not surprising that many homeowners opt for a coastal design for their home. The Coastal design trend has involved in the past couple of years to a more contemporary look with cleaner lines framing the soft blues and greens typical of the trend. Our upcoming Camberdale model home near Downtown Sarasota will capture this refreshing trend with coastal contemporary architecture and interior design to complement the home’s ideal location in the historic South Poinsettia neighborhood.
Get Some Shades for These Sun-Spiring Colors
No matter the season, bright pops of color are always in style in Southwest Florida, so this design trend just builds from our constant love of color by setting up a neutral backgrounds to really make them stand out. The goal for this trend is to create a bright and airy space to enjoy Florida’s amazing weather year-round and that is what Romanza Interior Design created for the Angelica model home in Mediterra in Naples. The Angelica's living room features bright orange accents set against white, brown, and tan backgrounds to create that pop of color in an otherwise neutral space. Strategically placed greenery also adds to the colorful antics of this home design.
Shine Bright with Metallics
We've mentioned bright colors with neutral backgrounds and gold tones for your home, but this last spring design trend meshes the two together for a completely new look. The interior designers at Romanza Interior Design love the cooler, cleaner look of metallics mixed with a white and gray color palette for a simple, but chic look. This design scheme can be done just as is or you can add one accent color for a little non-neutral pop of color. Our Delfina model home at The Founders Club in Sarasota does just that in the master bedroom with its muted citrus and gray accents against the soft white found in the linen lamp shades, nightstands, dresser, and bedding. The subdued nature of the room is livened with pewter accents in the furniture, bedding, and ornate starburst mirrors above the bed, as well as in the scrollwork embellishing the window treatments and the upholstery of a bench at the foot of the bed.
